2026 Representative Fees

For the 2026 season, representative fees are currently estimated at a maximum of $1,150 per player, which includes two weekly training sessions (no separate training levy).

If the final confirmed fee is less than $1,150, PMBA will communicate the updated amount to families as soon as possible.

This year’s fees reflect statewide price increases implemented by Basketball NSW across key areas including team nomination fees, game fees, and development levies. These adjustments have been incorporated into our 2026 budget to ensure the program remains well-resourced and sustainable.

For transparency:

• Last season’s total representative cost (including the former second training levy) was $950.

• The 2026 increase directly reflects BNSW fee adjustments and rising operational costs that PMBA has absorbed as much as possible.

These changes ensure our representative program continues to deliver high-quality coaching, resources, and athlete development support.

To secure your child’s position, an initial instalment of $150 is due by 28 November 2025.

Please find initial payment link above. Noting this confirmation payment is required prior to induction camp.

The balance of fees as outlined above will be attached to the BNSW rego link which ALL players will be required to complete once available, this registration will serve as our payment of the representative fees as well as registration to the BNSW Waratah NEJL competition, these links will be provide once available.

Representative fees cover most non-personal costs associated with Junior League participation. Additional charges will apply for pre-season carnivals, the Country Tournament, and school holiday training sessions.

Please note: PMBA will enforce a “no pay, no play” policy in 2026 to ensure fairness and meet financial obligations to BNSW and service providers.

An information session will be held at the Rep Induction Camp to demonstrate how families can create personalised, fully flexible payment plans through the Basketball Connect platform.

Athlete Support Program

Financial assistance is available for families holding a Low Income Health Care Card or eligible Centrelink pension.
Applications are confidential, and supported families may be asked to assist at PMBA events.

Representative Induction Camp
Date: Saturday 29 November 2025
Location: Port Macquarie Indoor Stadium (Courts 4, 5 & 6)
Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Bronwyn Vigors Pacific Challenge Tournament
Date: 5–7 December 2025
Location: Coffs Harbour
Cost: $130 per player (nomination fee, referee payments, coach expenses)

All PMBA Division teams have been nominated.
If your child cannot attend, please email coaching@portmacquariebasketball.com.au and your coach by Wednesday 26 November.

Attendance is compulsory unless a written exemption is granted by the PMBA Representative Delegate.
A parent information session will also be held.
Camp costs are included in the representative fees.

2026 NEJL Key Dates

• Pre-Season: 7–8 February (TBC)

• Round 1: 7–8 March (Coffs Harbour / Maitland / Newcastle)

• Round 2: 28–29 March (Port Macquarie – Stadium & PCYC)

• Round 3: 9–10 May (Ballina / Central Coast)

• Round 4: 13–14 June (Tamworth)

• Finals: 25–26 July (TBC)

These dates are in DRAFT format currently and will be reconfirmed to the PMBA website and included in the 2026 Player Handbook once finalised. Parents are urged to ensure any bookings made in relation to the upcoming schedule are fully refundable.
